At Lakeshore Healthcare, as a registered NDIS provider of Specialised Supported Employment supports, we offer comprehensive assistance for participants seeking employment beyond the scope of traditional employment services. Our support includes:

• Personal care and assistance with daily activities
• Transport assistance
• Provision of assistive technology to enhance workplace performance

Additionally, we work closely with our Partners in the Community, including Local Area Coordinators, to build strong relationships with mainstream providers and local communities. This helps us better understand the employment needs of people with disabilities.

For participants who list employment as a goal in their NDIS plan, they may not always receive specific “Finding and Keeping a Job” funding. Instead, they may be referred to mainstream services and assessed for eligibility under Job Seekers Australia (JSA) access criteria. However, people transitioning to Australian Disability Enterprises may receive different support.

Employment supports under the NDIS are complex, and participants, families, and stakeholders will need more clarity before these services can be fully provided.
